Who we are
Automotive Vehicle Inspections (AVI) is a specialist vehicle inspection and motor trade company. We cover the UK, providing clear, honest assessments of a vehicle’s condition before or after you commit your money.
Real motor trade experience
We don’t just inspect cars – we also buy and sell them. That means we:
- Know the common issues on specific makes and models
- Spot signs of hidden accident damage and poor repairs
- Understand when a price is fair, overpriced or “too good to be true”
We look at your vehicle the same way we look at cars we’d put our own money into.
What we actually look for
On every inspection, our focus is on the things that really matter:

Accident damage
Poor repairs, misaligned panels, paint differences, overspray

Structural & safety issues
Chassis damage, corrosion in key areas, signs of serious impact

Mechanical condition
Engine noise/smoke, clutch and gearbox operation, brakes, steering

Wear & tear
Tyres, suspension, interior condition, warning lights on the dash

History & mileage concerns
Service history checks, signs of clocking or inconsistent records

We are working for you only

We don’t take commission from dealers, garages or insurers

We don’t use your inspection as a chance to push you into a deal
Our job is simple: give you a clear, straightforward report in plain English, so you can buy, walk away or negotiate with confidence.

Booked an inspection after an accident and got a clear report with repair options and costs. Saved me a lot of back and forth with the bodyshop and insurer.
a bad car
They inspected a used car I was about to buy and found issues the dealer hadn’t mentioned. The detailed report and photos helped me walk away with confidence.
The engineer explained everything in plain English and the report was simple enough for my insurer and the repairer to follow.
